FAN Nordic Hub is a member of the six accelerators in the European EIT Food Accelerator Network (FAN). It aims to promote a sustainable food system.
The network offers an acceleration program for ten teams in Helsinki, Munich, Haifa, Lausanne, Cambridge and Bilbao.

Solar Foods (Finland):
Solar Foods develops Solein, a protein for the global food industry that is independant of agriculture, weather and climate. It is produced from CO2, water, and electricity.
tebrito (Sweden):
“It has developed a new protein food ingredient derived from insects (mealworms).”
Koepala (Finland):
“Koepala designs, develops and commercialises innovative new packaging solutions for the takeaway and food-to-go markets in order to provide sustainable meal experiences.”
IRRIOT (Sweden):
“Wireless Irrigation solutions for smart farming and gardening with an aim to save water, electricity, get better crops, using latest IoT technology. “
AEF Technology (Finland):
“AEF technology is based on developments of scientists from USSR in ice nano-crystallisation for long-time storage of food. The result of these developments is the Acoustic freezing process, during which the structure of cells is preserved.”
Innoscentia (Sweden):
“Our solutions can be fitted for both producers, retailers and consumers. We aim to reduce waste, improve food safety and implement traceability throughout the entire value chain”
Probitat (Finland):
“Healthy bacterial solution to increase nutrition value of plant-based products”
Mycorena (Sweden):
“Fungi-based, next-generation vegan protein. A cooking experience superior to plants, using significantly less resources.”
Eniferbio (Finland):
“Our product is Pekilo mycoprotein, a form of single cell protein derived from fungi. It is sustainably produced for use as a fish feed ingredient.”
Entoprot (Finland):
“Marketplace and production of protein products derived from insects with a fully automated mini factory close to customers.”
